Buffalo Mountain Getaway Cottage exceeded every expectation. The hosts generously allowed us a free early check-in, which made traveling with family significantly easier and set a positive tone for the entire stay. The cottage itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped for comfort and relaxation. The peaceful setting provided the perfect escape, while still being conveniently located near local attractions. One of the most memorable highlights for our family was the opportunity to pet the newborn calves on the property. It was a unique and heartwarming experience, especially for the kids and something you simply do not get at a typical vacation rental. From my family to yours, thank you so much!!

Host was welcoming and communicative. Beautiful location amidst the farmland. Easy to find. Plenty of space. Good sized kitchen for cooking Thanksgiving meal for 14. Close to Floyd and Willis and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Peaceful.

This was the perfect cottage for my girls getaway with my mother and sister. The house was clean and spacious, and the property was beautiful. We loved seeing the cows grazing nearby. It was an easy drive into Floyd and a great base for exploring the area. Next time, we’ll stay longer.

Our Buffalo Mountain home week long stay, now for the second time, was just as relaxing and comfortable as the first time. It’s been a great family stay for our Texas family with our now Virginia family that live nearby. It’s perfect for cooking meals with the big kitchen and dining area, plus the laundry set up keep us in clean clothes the entire week. It’s a very peaceful setting, and everyone is so nice and kind.

We have stayed at a few of Buffalo Mountain cottages. Always clean with a lot of finishing touches to accommodate guests needs. Always easy to book and very responsive to text and email messages. Definitely recommend.
